Straw
Considered the premium variety of straw for landscaping use because it contains more resin which means the straw will break down more slowly and last longer. Longleaf straw is also very uniform in color and texture.
Slash pine straw is a needle that 6" - 9" in length. It is perfect for landscape projects at home. Lightweight mulch.
Use wheat straw to keep vegetable gardens neat in the summer and to insulate them against the cold in the winter. Also an excellent choice when reseeding lawns. Contains much fewer weed seeds than its close relative, hay. This mulch decomposes rapidly.
